OTHER INFORMATION

All animals boarding with me must be in good health, and any medical conditions discussed with me when booking. I reserve the right to refuse to accept your pet if I feel they are showing any signs of illness or injury. This is for the benefit of your own pet and that of other boarders.
I have experience in administering medication so treatment for any non-contagious existing medical problems can be included with your consent.
Please bring with you proof of vaccination against Myxomatosis and VHD (Viral Haemorrhagic Disease) which will need to pre-date boarding by at least three weeks in order for your pet to stay at Emma's Holiday Hutches. Your pet will not be able to stay without this.
Your pet will not mix with any other animals whilst in our care, and the enclosure will be checked and cleaned daily.
All my feeding bowls, water bottles, toys, and other items are all disinfected after each boarding.

Standard dry food and daily fresh fruit and vegetables is included, but if your pet is on a particular diet or you have any special requirements, please make me aware when booking and provide the relevant food and instructions.
I provide two types of dry food; Burgess excel pellets and mixed muesli.
Seasonal vegetables such as cabbage, broccoli, curly kale, carrots, celery, spring greens and a selection of fruit are also provided.
I will also pick and provide fresh grass daily and dandelions when available

Regrettably, previously healthy rabbits and guinea pigs can become ill very quickly. So if your pet becomes ill during the stay with me, I will inform you or your emergency contact immediately, and seek your permission to consult either your vet or our own. If your pet then requires medical attention I will transport him/her to the vets and will not charge you for this, but you will need to meet any costs for treatment and additional vet visits necessary. I may also need to make an additional charge for my time if your pet requires follow up treatment such as administering medication.
I have insurance in place to recover the cost of treatment fees where, in agreement with you, I determine it is practical to do so (i.e. where the cost of treatment far exceeds the applicable excess). Unfortunately any injuries sustained from other boarders (e.g. two rabbits sharing the same enclosure) are excluded.
If you have bonded pets staying with me and I need to separate them due to illness, there will be no charge for the additional accommodation. However, if they need to be separated due to fighting, you will be required to pay an extra charge. Any extra costs will be charged on collection of your pet.
In the unfortunate and sad event that your pet passes away suddenly whilst in my care, I will contact you or your emergency contact immediately. If your pet is elderly and you believe that this might happen during their stay with me, please leave instructions with me on arrival.

Whilst your pet is in the care of Emma’s Holiday Hutches, I will take every precaution to safeguard your animal but all pets are left entirely at owner's risk and I accept no liability in the unlikely event that your pet becomes ill or passes away whilst staying with me. However, we are fully insured to give both us and you additional peace of mind at a difficult time. I also accept no liability for any injury sustained by you whilst on our premises.
All pets need to be brought to and collected from Emma's Holiday Hutches at the time arranged when booking. If you are likely to be delayed please advise me so we can agree to a re-arranged time. Should the collection need to move back to a later date, then additional boarding fees will apply. Unfortunately I cannot give refunds for pets that are collected earlier than originally booked.
In the event of an animal not being collected within 10 days of the due collection date, I reserve the right to re-home the animal. Any fees incurred as a result of the re-homing process, plus the fees for the extended stay at Emma’s Holiday Hutches will be payable in full.
